[Skin Concerns] Vitamin C serum causing cystic acne??

Recently I've developed a good skincare routine of washing my face at night, then using truskin vitamin C serum, and then moisturizer. Overall my face looks less spotty and cleaner, no breakouts.

however, I have developed a cyst on my left cheek and a cyst on my right cheek... I don't know if this is purging or too much product causing cysts. Overall I am still happy with my skin so I don't wanna completely cut it out but does anyone have any recommendations or advice?

Is it l-ascorbic acid or is it a derivative of vitamin c? I find l-ascorbic acid to be too harsh and I get irritation and breakouts. Derivatives don't seem to be as irritating on my skin

The ingredient reads as sodium ascorbyl phosphate so I think a derivative.

Yes! I tried 3 vitamin C products before finding one that didn't cause cystic acne and that is not a problem I have ever dealt with before. Went away once I discontinued the product. Vitamin C shouldn't cause purging.

I have had no problems with Timeless Vitamin C (except that I don't love the smell, consistency or color but it does it's job and doesn't give me painful pimples)

Thanks for sharing your similar experience! Yeah I haven't gotten cysts in a long long time so this was a surprise. I think I might try out the mad hippie one because it seems gentle too. Do you use it daily or every few days?
